Jakob Schlaepfer has been an innovating force in haute couture fabrics for the past 100 years. Based outside of Zurich, the company’s cutting edge, at times hand crafted, fabrics have led to successful partnerships with Marc Jacobs, Prada, Chanel, Hermes, and others. In 2008 Jakob Schlaepfer launched world-wide a Décor collection that has won textile awards such as Germany’s prestigious Red Dot award and the 2009 "Prix de l'Imagination" in Paris. Drawing heavily from their fashion roots, the collections showcase metallic and hologram yarns, feathers, flippable sequins, and laser cut foam. Jakob Schlaepfer’s fabrics are textile art.
